The P610 is described as a power output valve of modest current requirements providing sufficient volume for most purposes.

In addition to the commercial Type designation the P610 also appeared as the CV1666 and the GPO POVT93.

Looking under the silver gettering, the electrodes are mounted horizontally.

The balloon envelope is 46 mm in diameter and, excluding the B4 base pins, is 88 mm tall.
