POVT81

The POVT81 (later renamed as CV1659) is a directly heated triode with a maximum anode dissipation of 2.5 Watts. The prototype was the STC 4022B.
As is normal with battery triodes the front to back dimension is small compared to the width.
The identification of VT81 and MV43.
The top mica with filament tension springs. Four oxide coated filament strands are present.
The pinch and lower mica.
The classic envelope is 40 mm in diameter, and excluding the B4 base pins is 94 mm tall.
