This exhibit is a pre-CV service valve. It is designated as an Air Force receiving valve and is a direct equivalent to the commercial KT33C.
Just visible on the right side is the M-OV etched oval with the KT33C Type inside. Thus showing complete equivalence.
The four insulated heater wires entering the cathode tube. The control grid supports are copper rods.
The top mica showing the S shaped screen attached to the cathode and the L shaped heat sinks on top of the control grid supports.
The classic envelope is 44 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 103 mm tall.
