The CV9025 (commercial direct equivalent is the DF96) is an amplifier pentode for use in battery portable radio equipment.
The 1954 range of 25 mA filament battery valves was the last gasp of the valve era. The following generation of equipment would use solid state active devices.
The anode covers the inner grids and the gettering hides the filament tension spring at the top.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 45 mm tall.
References: Data-sheet. Type CV9025 was first introduced in 1953. See also 1953 adverts.
