The CV1170 was the new name in 1941 for the NR46 pair of signal diodes.The diodes share a common cathode and the use was in superhet receivers for both signal detection and AGC rectification.The Z identifies the maker as MO Valve Company, Hammersmith.The classic envelope is 36 mm in diameter and, excluding the B5 base pins, is 79 mm tall.References: Data-sheet |
