The CV1943 is a vari-μ HF pentode used mainly as an IF amplifier in superhet receivers. The prototype was the 6K7GT and the CV1943 is identical.
The KB/T identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the T identifies the maker as British Tungsram, Tottenham.
The screening continues under the outer screen.
The cut out in the outer screen shows the circular cathode tube and the three wire grid supports.
The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 72 mm tall.
