The CV676 is an S-Band reflex klystron for low power microwave generation. The main tuning is mechanical but some electrical frequency shifting is possible electrically. This electrical frequency shift can be used to apply modulation.
The frequency range is 3.2 - 3.4 GHz with an output of 180 mW that exits via the probe that replaces pin 4 of the octal base.
The /J identifies the maker as Radar Electronic Equipment.
The mechanical tuning screw with left and right hand threads to expand the metal strips evenly.
The top cap connects to the reflector that sends the beam back into the resonator.
The output probe.
The thin metal envelope envelope is 26 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 54 mm tall.
