The Mullard 104V is an output triode of a type known as 'super power' back in the 1920s. The UK Navy used the 104V as a NR27 and with the advent of the 1941 Common Valve list it became the CV1160 for UK government procurement.
The makers name and basic operating details are etched into the dome of the envelope.Thanks to Mark Mallison for sending the images.The balloon envelope is 51 mm in diameter, and excluding the B5 base pins is 115 mm tall.References: Data-sheet, & 1043.
