The indirectly heated triode Type 904V is described by Mullard as a high magnification detector. The data-sheet gives details of operation as both detector and as an LF (audio) amplifier.
The Dome carries the identification.

The balloon envelope measures  mm in diameter and the excluding the B5 base pins, is  mm tall.
