The AEI (formerly BTH) BT19 is a directly heated hot cathode mercury vapour thyratron.

The UK Navy specified this thyratron as the NGT5 and after 1941 it became the CV1144 for Government use.

The outer screen attached to a collar around the pinch stem.

The B4 base pins.
