This Brimar DK96 is labelled as of Foreign origin.From the early 1960s battery valve radios lost out to the imported transistor radio. In 1964 a six transistor miniature radio operating on a PP3 battery could be purchased for little more than a 90 Volt HT battery.The DK96 dry battery frequency changer is from the later range of very low filament consumption valves.
