This exhibit is a Brimar 6H6G double signal diode with central screen.
Unlike the metal version with the pressed glass foot and miniature construction, this has the old pinch construction and long connecting leads within the envelope.
The Brimar brand on the base cap. One diode is seen full face and behind is the electrostatic screen.
The Z shaped screen covers the ends of the diode sections.
A closer view of one section and the screen behind.
The bright anode has a small cylindrical space in the centre for the indirectly heated cathode.
The classic envelope is 35 mm in diameter and excluding IO base pins the valve is 74 mm long.
