The CV453 is a miniature pentagrid converter also given the American Type designation of 6BE6. The prototype was the 6BE6.
The KB/Z identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the Z identifies the maker as MO Valve Company, Hammersmith.
The many grids can be seen through the notch in the anode wall. At the top is a tape joining the two screening grids together.
At the base the insulated heater wire is formed into a double helix to cancel out as much of the AC field as possible.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 47 mm tall.
