The Mazda TP25 is a triode pentode frequency changer for battery operated all-wave broadcast receivers. The special feature of this self oscillating mixer is the low filament consumption. The similar TP26 has a lower HT consumption but is designed for long and medium wave battery sets only.
This is another example of the zinc painted TP25 but this has legible black paint to identify it.
The classic envelope is 31 mm in diameter and, excluding the MO base pins, is 86 mm tall.
