In the box is a 6J5GT/G triode marked for renewal use only. The outside of the sealed box carried the CV1934 Type designation and the date 1943. The CV specification indicates that the CV1934 is the 6J5GT.
The electrode assembly is sealed to a glass pinch. The envelope is a glass tube the width of the octal base. The anode plates are formed to leave an oval cavity for the grid and cathode.
The electrical characteristics of each half of the 6SN7 match those of the 6J5.
The anode side view and base shell lettering.
The rounded face of the anode. The grid wire can easily be seen as it extends beyond the active anode surface.
The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm diameter and excluding the IO base pins measures 63 mm tall.
