The EL38 was designed as a television line output stage valve. In this Unilab educational aid the robustness of this power valve is a distinct advantage.
The box is 96 mm wide and 152 mm tall. Front to back is 57 mm.
The front of the box.
Inside is just the valve, wires and the five sections of the anode load resistor.
Side view.
The classic envelope is 41 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 115 mm tall.
References: Datasheet & 1040. Type EL38 was first introduced in 1946.
