The CV63 is distinct because of the twin top caps. One cap is for the anode and the other is for the grid. The prototype for the CV63 was the M-OV experimental Type E1323.
It functions as a power oscillator and the ratings give peak values. It is specified to oscillate at 250 MHz - a very high figure for the time. Operation was in pulse mode.
The classic envelope is 37 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 90 mm tall.
