CV6

Sensibly equivalent to:
DET20 E1148

Extras ▼

This triode was designed as a VHF oscillator and the ratings confirm this. The prototype for the CV6 was the M-OV experimental type E1148. To improve the operating frequency two top caps are used, one for anode and one for the grid.
See also DET20, VR135 and 7193. These triodes developed during WWII for higher frequency operation and the 6J5 can be seen as the starting point for the development.
The envelope is 27 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 72 mm tall.
