The M-OV W147 is a variable-mu RF pentode, with sliding screen characteristics, for use as a controlled RF or IF amplifier for use up to 30 MHz.
The Mullard equivalent is the EF39 and the Cossor OM6 is similarly equivalent.
The code on the base cap matches that seen under the metallic paint.
The classic envelope is 30 mm in diameter and excluding the IO base pins it is 85 mm long.
