Extras ▼

The 12E1 is a specialist series pass valve for use in stabilised power supplies. This function makes high demands on the cathode as the average current is normally much higher than in other applications.
We also have a rugged version 12E1R.
ITT valves made in England were manufactured by STC.
The inner wire grids and the edge of the beam plates can be glimpsed.
The envelope also carries the Type designation of CV345.
The top mica is in several layers. The stout copper control grid supports are topped with a large heat radiating fin.
The classic envelope is 54 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 132 mm tall.
References: Data-sheet & 1040. Type 12E1 was first introduced in 1952. See also 1952 adverts.
