The PC86 is a purpose designed UHF frame-grid mixer/oscillator triode for Band 4 and 5 television reception.

The anode looking along the grid axis.

The anode is mainly heat-sing. The part facing the cathode is at the end of the central depression.

The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and excluding the B9A base pins, is 48 mm long.
