The EB34 is a pair of signal diodes in a single envelope. Each section is internally screened. In our other EB34 example the once present red metallic paint has flaked off and the inner structures can be seen.
The wide glass envelope is 30 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 60 mm tall.
References: Datasheet, 1043 & 1040. Type EB34 was first introduced in 1941.
