The 30L17 is a double triode with unusual connections. It was designed for cascode (series) operation in the front ends of television receivers.
The screen obscures the twin triodes but the anodes appear to be U shaped and the fine wires of the frame grid are gold plated.The 30L17 is the frame grid version of the 30L15.The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 47 mm tall.Reference: 1040.
