The ARTH2 is the old UK Army name for the CV1347 triode hexode. The Mullard ECH35 was the commercial prototype. The red metalising paint indicates that this was made by Mullard.
The reverse is plain.
The classic envelope is 34 mm in diameter, and excluding the IO base pins is 92 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type ARTH2 was first introduced in 1938. See also 1938 adverts.
