The VR92 is a miniature signal diode equivalent to the commercial EA50. The VR designation indicates a pre WWII RAF service code after 1941 it was renamed the CV1092.
This diode was originally developed for television signal demodulation.
The anode connects to the top pin by a ribbon and on the right the cathode connection can be seen.
The B3G base pins.
The anode pin with the top mica and cathode tube. The evacuation must have taken place through the top tube.
The thin glass tube envelope is 11 mm in diameter and, including the B3G base pins, is 45 mm tall.
