The M8081 is the special quality version of the ECC91. The design purpose was as a VHF oscillator or power amplifier of one Watt output.
The control grids are wound on thick copper supports and both face the central cathode.
This image shows the clearance between the shaped grid wires and the cathode. The anodes are U channel sections either side of the central cathode.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 46 mm tall.
