The CV1137 is an all glass triode on a B9G base. The prototype was the RL16 and the commercial version is the EC52. The previous service type was VR137.
The use was as a low power local oscillator at up to 300 MHz.
The KB/A identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the A identifies the maker as Mullard, Blackburn, pre Jan 1951.
The small size of the electrodes and short leads to minimise inductance. The grid supports are fitted with heat sink fins. The other side of the envelope just has a support rod.
The triode section with flattened cathode and close spaced grid wires.
The wide glass tube envelope is 32 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9G base pins, is 57 mm tall.
