The CV1147 (formally the UK Navy NGT7) is a mercury vapour thyratron. The design use is for welding and/or motor control.The cathode is indirectly heated and oxide coated.
The inner cylinder and outer cylinder are connected by a strap. In the centre of the inner cylinder is a ceramic ring.The balloon envelope is 80 mm in diameter and, excluding the UX4 base pins, is 165 mm tall.References: Data-sheet. |
