The CV2522 (commercially the 6AS6) is a physically small amplifier pentode. It is designed for dual control and therefore the suppressor has a short grid base or control range.
The KB/DC identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the DC identifies the maker as Mullard Radio Valve Co., Whyteleafe. A specialist facility for miniature valve assembly.
Although not as close wound as the control grid, the suppressor grid has a small enough pitch to influence the flow of the main electron stream.
The reverse has the Mullard logo and the commercial Type designation of 6AS6.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 38 mm tall.
