The EB34 is a pair of signal diodes in a single envelope. Each section is internally screened. In our other EB34 example the once present red metallic paint has flaked off and the inner structures can be seen.
Above the base cap is the wire that connects the metal paint coating to pin 1 of the base.The balloon envelope is 30 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 65 mm tall.References: Data-sheet, 1043 & 1040. Type EB34 was first introduced in 1941. See also 1941 adverts. |
