The ECF82/6U8 is a high slope triode beam tetrode designed for television use as a frequency changer or mixer. It was also found to be effective as an audio phase splitter.
The open end of the beam tetrode shows the beam plates and the screen grid support.
The ECF82/6U8 identification on the glass. The beam tetrode anode can be seen to be two small plates joined by straps top and bottom. The triode is on the right.
The triode on the right. The folded nickel anode has been stitched together. The control grid is wound on copper wires.
Made in England.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins is 48 mm tall.
