The CV1101 UK service receiving valve from 1940 is a double diode triode that is identical to the M-OV MHLD6 and VR101. It would have been used in superhet receivers as signal and AGC detector plus first audio stage.
This English made valve has printed on the glass the MWT logo and the commercial Type designation of MHLD6.
The top mica with control grid connected to the top cap. Inside the cathode tube are several hairpins of insulated heater wire. Inside the anode a single strand of grid wire can be seen.
The classic envelope is 38 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 101 mm tall.
