The CV756 (commercial 1A5G) is a dry cell audio output pentode with a maximum output of 100 mW.
Electrically the Loctal 1LA4 is identical and a late 1940s re-design of this valve.
The valve has CV756 on the base cap but the original designation of 1A5GT/G can just be seen on the envelope.
The GD does not match any maker we have on file. The filament tension spring can be seen at the top.
The bright anode.
Test results. The arc of the tension spring can be seen from left to centre above the top mica.
The top mica components. The oxide coated filament is held in the point of the triangular hole to ensure that it always passes through the grids in the same place.
The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm in diameter, and excluding the IO base pins is 58 mm tall.
