The 6SL7WGT is a medium impedance double triode with a gain of 70. It was designed for voltage amplification in audio amplifiers and/or as a phase inverter. The WGT suffix denotes a ruggedized version of the 6SL7GT valve for use where vibration and mechanical shock is encountered.

The dome carries the Type designation as well as the base cap.
The mica sheets are thick to resist vibration.
The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 62 mm tall.
