The 6L18 is an amplifier triode. It has a low impedance and was used as a frame timebase amplifier. Our other other 6L18 has a different form of construction.The 6L18 was used in the 1948 Murphy television receiver V114 as a local oscillator.The electrode assembly is better seen in this second picture.The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B8A base pins, is 57 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1040.
