The 30P19 was designed for service as a line output valve in monochrome television receivers with 110° deflection. The 90° earlier version is the 30P4.Line output service requires high peak voltages and the 30P19 can withstand positive anode surges of 7,000 Volts. The anode dissipation is 10.0 Watts and the screen grid can dissipate 5.0 Watts.
The close-up picture reveals the beam plates seen through the holes in the side walls of the anode. Within the beam plates can be seen the wire grids. The screen grid is easy to see but the control grid is finer and only easily visible in the right hand anode hole. The wide glass tube envelope is 27 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 89 mm tall.Reference: 1040. Type 30P19 was first introduced in 1960. See also 1960 adverts. |
