The Type 201A is the thoriated tungsten filament version of the Type 201 that was introduced by RCA in 1920. Type 201 was an amplifier and the Type 200 was a detector.These Types were made with various prefixes. The original UV- prefix denoted the UV base.The silvered envelope, magnesium gettering, just gives the type designation of 201-A.The balloon envelope is 45 mm in diameter and, excluding the four base pins, is 95 mm tall.Reference: 1047.
