about

The PCC88 is a television RF amplifier and was the original TV frame grid valve. It was very reliable in use. With the same heater requirements and base connections the PCC189 provided the variable μ version.
The PCC88 is a double triode with separate cathodes. The PCC85 has the same base connections.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 47 mm tall.
References: Datasheet & 1040. Type PCC88 was first introduced in 1957.
