This 6J5 triode is only identified by the small characters stamped into the steel envelope. The image has been lightened as this Type designation is hard to see normally.The 6J5 design was very successful and in double triode format became the 6SN7GT et al made by many companies. Further developed it became the 7193 and in the UK the CV6.This exhibit was made in the USA for Brimar.The thin metal tube envelope is 25 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 52 mm tall.References: Data-sheet, 1040 & 1043.
