The VR137 was specified for VHF low power transmitter use and the commercial name is EC52 and the CV number is CV1137. The anode dissipation is 7 Watts and the full power frequency rating is 300 MHz.
The anode face view. The central working area has flanges either side to add to the radiating area.
The top mica showing the copper grid supports and black grid cooling fins.
A closer view showing the grid pitch from the notches on the support rods. The cathode tube seems to have a dent at the top suggesting that dimensional control was lower than in later years.
The wide glass tube envelope is 32 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9G base pins, is 59 mm tall.
