Pinnacle Valve Donation by Peter Bates (GM4BYF) Other EY86 exhibits

The EY86 is a television EHT rectifier that is rated in terms of peak inverse volts (PIV) and that is quoted at 22,000 Volts.

This is an early EY86 and this is denoted by the un-gettered manufacture. With the missing top cap the way the anode supports are part of the glass can be seen more clearly.

The anode supports side view. The lower cylinder is the shield around the cathode.

The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter and excluding the B9A base pins the valve is 65 mm long.
