In this exhibit the 6J5GT triode electrode assembly is formed on a conventional tube glass pinch. The anode plates are formed to leave an oval cavity for the grid and cathode.
The American government purchase specification of VT-94D is also on the base.
The electrical characteristics of each half of the 6SN7 match those of the 6J5.
The anode plates are stitched together. The control grid has a small heat sink on the top of the supports.
The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm diameter and excluding the IO base pins measures 66 mm long.
References: Data-sheet & 1040. Type 6J5GT was first introduced in 1936. See also 1936 adverts.
