The 5718 is a special quality miniature triode for use as an oscillator at UHf frequencies up to 500 MHz.
The valve is badged as Mullard but not made by them. The close wound triode can be seen in the centre.
The RT logo of the original manufacturer.
The thin glass tube envelope is 10 mm in diameter, and excluding the B8D/F base wires is 34 mm tall.
