The CV5265 (Mazda 30P4) is a purpose designed line output valve. It was made to deliver current pulses to the magnetic deflection coils wherein a linear rising magnetic field would be generated to drive the spot across the face of the tube.
Looking through the holes in the end wall of the anode: the bright structure is the beam plate assembly. The inner two grids can be seen within the beam plates.
The anode seen looking at the working face. For extra heat dissipation there are fins attached in the centre.
The wide glass tube envelope is 29 mm in diameter, and excluding the IO base pins is 90 mm tall.
