The CV1002 is a small beam tetrode RF power valve. It is more commonly known as the VT501A the older RAF code for a transmitting valve.
These small beam tetrodes were also used as audio output valves in domestic radios. The TRF receiver made by Premier Radio was notable for using these cheap valves post war in their kits.
The KB/V identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the V identifies the maker as Gilbert Photoelectrics.
The beam plates extend beyond the anode. The control grid has a small heat radiating fin at the top. The folded heater has six vertical lengths.
